INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER
I thought that I was going to be incurring a lot of extra expense when I was diagnosed with diabetes. I’ve heard some horror stories about what this person’s insurance covered and what that person’s insurance didn’t and how much all of the materials and supplies can cost. While doing some research online to find the best equipment I could get as far as reliability and ease of use were concerned, I stumbled on a sight that helped me find out that I’m eligible for free diabetic supplies. I was studying some of the information on the American Diabetes Services website when I noticed a window in the sidebar that advertised the potential for free supplies. I clicked on it and all I had to do was fill out a simple form with some generic information about my age and insurance and things like that, then the site informed me that I was, in fact eligible. All of the top of the line equipment: the meter, the lancets, and the test strips, all delivered to my door free of charge. If I were given a choice, I would obviously rather not have the diabetes at all, but since that isn’t really an option I’m certainly glad I can get all of my supplies for free.
